Build the white cross
Begin with yellow up and find the four edges containing white. For a beginner, bring these to surround the yellow center as a daisy. Move the upper face to make room without disturbing petals already placed.
For each white petal, turn U until its other color matches the side center. Turn that matching face by 180 degrees to place the white sticker on the bottom. Repeat for all four edges. A correct cross matches both white and all four side colors.
Worked example
If a white-green petal has green lined up over the green center, F2 brings it to the white bottom face in the correct place.
Try it yourself
Build and check the cross on a real cube; do not move on until all four side colors match their centers.
Interactive 3×3 cube practice
Yellow up, white down, green front, red right. Turns use that fixed grip; changing the view changes the camera only.
Supported moves: U D R L F B, optionally followed by ' or 2. No whole-cube, slice or wide moves.
Solved practice cube. This simulator demonstrates moves; it does not solve an arbitrary physical cube.
