Detailed explanation & worked examples
How to build a calendar
- Describe a month, year or up to 12 consecutive months.
- Add event dates and titles, optionally with weekly, monthly or yearly repeats.
- Generate, then open Edit to change the title, starting month, Sunday/Monday display, ISO labels and event rules.
- Read the month grids and range metrics, then copy, print, share, save or export.
Worked example
“Build a November 2026 calendar; title: Cleaning Schedule; 2026-11-02: Cleaning weekly” produces November with cleaning on November 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. Sunday is the default first day.
What the metrics mean
Calendar days count the whole displayed range. Weekdays mean Monday–Friday; weekends mean Saturday–Sunday. Holidays are not automatically subtracted. Event occurrences count every event instance, so two events on one date count twice. Leap status refers to the starting year. ISO weeks always use Monday-based ISO numbering.
Repeats and sharing
Monthly events keep the day number and skip months without it. A yearly February 29 event skips non-leap years. Repeating events do not appear before their starting date. ICS exports contain all-day event instances only for the displayed range, not an unlimited repeating series. Shared links include entered titles and dates. JSON stores the editable rules; text stores the displayed date list.
