School subjects, languages, puzzles and practical skills—with worked examples, explanations and guided practice.
Numbers and shopping
Un and une depend on grammatical gender. Je voudrais is a polite way to say I would like. De l’eau means some water in this example. French pronunciation does not pronounce every written final letter, so use supported French audio rather than an English reading of the spelling.
Practise both directions: recognize the target phrase, then produce it from its meaning. Repeat after available audio, cover the text, and try again. Audio availability depends on your browser’s installed voices; this tool does not grade pronunciation.
