Learn. Practise. Build real understanding.
School subjects, languages, puzzles and practical skills—with worked examples, explanations and guided practice.
Recall before rereading
Reading makes material familiar, but familiarity is not the same as being able to use it. Close the lesson and explain its main idea in your own words. Then reopen it and compare your explanation with the example.
A low-stakes quiz is a practice opportunity. When an answer is wrong, identify whether you forgot a fact, misunderstood a relationship, or applied the wrong procedure. Each error calls for a different response.
Worked example
After learning area, draw a rectangle and explain why area counts square units. Then calculate 3 × 4 = 12 square units.
Try it yourself
Write three questions from a lesson, answer them without notes, and check each answer.
Check your understanding
Which activity most directly practices recall?
Retrieving an answer without notes practices recall; checking afterward gives feedback.
