Greetings and introductions
Turkish uses Latin letters with additional characters such as ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş and ü. The dotted i and dotless ı are different letters. Merhaba is a general hello. Benim adım introduces your name; Adınız ne? is a polite way to ask another person’s name.
Practise both directions: recognize the target phrase, then produce it from its meaning. Repeat after available audio, cover the text, and try again. Audio availability depends on your browser’s installed voices; this tool does not grade pronunciation.
