How the counting works

The starting instant is excluded: adding zero minutes leaves it unchanged. A count from Friday at 3:00 PM to Monday at 3:00 PM is 3 days with weekends included, or 1 counted day when Saturday and Sunday are excluded. From Friday at 11:00 PM, adding 2 hours while excluding weekends gives Monday at 1:00 AM.

A counted day represents 24 counted hours. If the selected date is earlier than the start, the result says how far before the start it falls. The tool uses the calendar and clock values you enter, and initializes the start from your device. It does not adjust for daylight-saving changes, time-zone travel or public holidays.

With weekends excluded, a selected endpoint may still fall on Saturday or Sunday, but time within those days does not count. A duration ending exactly at the Friday/Monday boundary can display Saturday at 12:00 AM: that is the end of Friday, without counting Saturday time.
